What better time to show off some awesome, unique, antique, and detailed cars, trucks, and motorcycles than a fun day out with family and friends at a car show. This event is $25 to participate and free to attend. Whether you wish to bring your car and participate in the show, request to be a food vendor, or want to just come and see all the day has to offer, we invite you to get information ahead of time and make this a day for the whole family. We are only looking for a few vehicle-related vendors and food trucks.
If you wish to check possibilities and want to reach out to Sgt. Dean, please feel free.
Let’s have a fun-filled day together!
We do ask participants to pre-register and fill out a form so that we will know how much space is needed. Registration is through Monday, June 12, but we will have same day registration. We will be using our parking lot, and possibly grass, depending on the weather prior to the date, and the number of vehicles.
We invite you to grab a mat and come join us. On nice days we will have yoga on our lawn, and on cold or wet days we will have it in the Douglasville Police Department Community Room next to the main building. This is a FREE class that begins at 5:30 pm and lasts about an hour.
You do not have to sign up ahead of time. Just show up and be ready to exercise.
If you want to get your kids or yourself involved in local youth athletics or find out more about local youth athletics, join us at this month’s Black Men’s Roundtable for dinner on-location at the wonderful Blu Rose Art Bistro in beautiful downtown Douglasville (see digital flyer for details). No life source better compliments our stories than plants, chosen to reflect the milestones throughout each year. From birth to death, flowers are a symbol of every event along the path of life. Petals become companions to us at all intervals, from baby showers to funerals and countless stops along the way. Perhaps we see a reflection of ourselves in plants and petals, reaching and growing, full of life and celebrating, yet fragile and finite in lifespan. The “Reflective Flowers” collection is a master garden of brushstrokes and mixed media by artists Beth Cullen, Leeann Slotkin, Lucy Thomas, and, as her name reiterates, Camyljah Rose. The collection will remain on display from July 6-27, from 9 am to 5 pm, with an opening reception on Thursday, July 6 from 6-8 pm, hosted by Douglasville Community Theater.
Celebrate our NEWEST gallery exhibit: Reflective Flowers on July 6th at 6 pm at the Cultural Arts Center 8652 Campbellton St.
